How to Survive Blain’s Class

So the school year is back in session, and Blain now has a class of freshies who are now on the road through out History 9A. Being a vet of Blain’s teaching, I have decided to give some advice.

  1. Don’t be afraid if he jumps on the desk right in front of yours. He just has the urge to do that sometimes.
  2. Don’t be offended if he calls you a Monk. This could happen later in the semester when you learn about the Medieval times. He will go through the class and number off kids to be Knights, Nobles, and Peasants. If you are a monk, it’s not a bad thing, mainly because you would be the only person to know how to read.
  3. Don’t bring up a Soviet T-34/85 tank. Just don’t. He will  cry.
  4. STUDY FOR QUIZES!!! The more kids that do, the higher chance that your class could get out of a quiz. (if he gives you the option to.)
  5. Reference Christopher Columbus in everything. He will love it.
  6. Call him a Communist. (He really loves it when kids do that)
  7. Organize your study guides for exams. (I find color coding and charts to be quite helpful. Just ask him about my 1st semester exam study guide.)
  8. Don’t give stupid answers for games. (self explanatory)
  9. Mention the name Houseman whenever you get the chance.
  10. Don’t be a jerk.
  11. Ask him about what his name rhymes with.
  12. Don’t let the studying thing overwhelm you. Notes are normally short and to the point.
  13. Work hard on projects. It pays off.
  14. PAY ATTENTION!!! Don’t goof off. You’ll regret it.
  15. Blain’s games are actually really fun. Anxiety inducing, but fun once you get the hang of it and you know your stuff.
  16. He may seem intimidating at first, but he’s actually really cool.
  17. CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS
  18. Send Blain Columbus memes. He enjoys them.
  19. Subscribe to his totally legit Youtube channel. (it’s really cool)
  20. Ask him “Why?” all of the time. Do it constantly.

That’s it for today’s post. I’ve got a lot of History homework to do. ( That’s something to look forward to.) HEED MY ADVICE it really comes in handy.
